Bertina is now a two year old, 1st freshener. She is a very stong individual and often looks like she is carrying a lot of extra "flesh" but when you put your hands on this doe she is strong, powerful, wide, has plenty of rib spacing and is a deep bodied doe and that "extra fleshing" isn't that at all. She has excellent Nubian breed character about the head and ears and also has wonderful, soft pliable skine. Her udder is well shaped, well supported, teat size and shape is good, and milks out fast and easy. Her back is wide & straight, rump angle and width is good. The only posssible negative for Bertina; I would like a bigger udder. Perhaps in her next freshening we will see that improve.
